My name is Jarrod Pettit and the Lord has allowed me to be the Pastor of South Side Missionary Baptist Church since March of 2014. I was blessed to become Natalie's husband in November of 2002. We have three children, Gracie, Emma & Jon.  Natalie and I met at the Missionary Baptist Fellowship (MBSF) on the campus of Arkansas State University. I answered the call to preach the gospel in February of 2003 and first served in my home church of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Humnoke, Ar. (2003-2006) The Lord would lead us to move to Teague, TX, where I answered  the call to fill time youth ministry at Eighth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church (2006-2007) From there we would follow our calling to Meadowlake Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, Ar. (2008-2011) Next, God would allow us the opportunity to serve the youth of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Ar. (2010-2014)
Each of the Churches that we have served in have provided needed experience and perspective that have aided the ministry here at South Side over the past years. While the majority of our ministry so far has been to students, our desire has always been about the family as a whole. Godly families make up Godly Churches. Godly Churches impact communities for Christ Kingdom.  South Side MBC has been blessed with the ability to serve the people of Star City in many different ways. It is our desire for South Side to impact Star City and Lincoln County with and for the Gospel of Christ. And that's just a start! We want to see Christ honored the world over because of the ways He allows us to be blessed and be a blessing to others. It is our great honor to serve a loving God, a merciful Savior and a risen Lord while being lead by His spirit. I am grateful to call Star City home.
